    When your indoor installation of a sewage pump requires a grinder pump to chew up the sewage before pumping it to the discharge, Zoeller has the system for you. The 840 Commercial Sewage Grinder Pump system is a complete ready to install grinder pump package that allows you to pump sewage at higher head requirements through smaller discharge pipe. Most of Zoeller's sewage grinder pumps are designed to pump the sewage through 1 1/4" pipe. This prevents the sewage slurry from dropping down to the bottom of the pipe and attaching itself. The smaller size discharge pipe keeps the sewage flowing with the volume necessary to eliminate the problems of settling.

   The 840 Duplex sewage grinder system comes with two Zoeller 840 grinder pumps, a 30" x  36" deep basin designed for indoor installation, three float switches that turn the pump on, turn the pump off, and also activate the high water visible alarm warning system. These float switches are all controlled through the duplex alternator reversing panel. The panel will control turning on one pump this time, and then the other pump the next time it calls for the pump. When it starts the pump the next time, it will reverse the cutters to extend the life of the pump. When something gets caught in the cutter, the pump will reverse to free the item lodged in the cutter.

   Each pump has its own cover in the basin lid, that allows you to service a pump without pulling both pumps out of the basin. Heavy duty cast iron check valves withstand the higher pressure, rated at 50 psi which is equivalent to 115 feet of head pressure.
